The CV Loader is not supported by all browsers. For Macintosh computers, the CV Loader is only functional with the MacOS9.04 operating system.
Formatting features and special characters that are not supported by EGMS will be altered when text is transferred into the CV Loader. For example, underlined, bold, and italicized text will be converted to regular text, and Greek characters will be converted to their English equivalents (the greek letter alpha becomes a). Edit text after you have transferred it into the CV Loader and before you add it to the database.
Copy a listing of publications from a Web application or word-processing file onto your computer’s Clipboard.Click the Paste from clipboard button. If necessary, edit the text displayed in the Paste box: replace special characters, fix errors, or remove any numbering system that was associated with the citations in the original text.
Highlight the complete text of the first publication in the list. Click the Parse the text button. Examine the text in the box to see if the CV Loader has split the list of citations correctly.
- If the text has been split correctly, click the Add to database button.
- If the text has not been split correctly, highlight and delete the split text from the parsed text box. Repeat the steps in the second and third paragraphs of this section, highlighting the text a bit differently or editing the text’s spacing or wrapping before using the Parse the text button.

Add the Year published for all individual citations added to the Publications subsection: click on the hyperlink for a publication, type in the year published, and click the Update button. Repeat the process until the publication year has been added to all citations loaded with the CV Loader.
