What is EGMS?

You can also prepare your Expertise Database record and your Other Support Database record, which EGMS uses to make the Biosketch and Other Support pages, respectively, when generating agency forms.

Why use EGMS?

Fringe benefits and indirect costs are automatically calculated, as is inflation across fiscal and grant years. You don’t have to do anything, it is all done in the background.
University (and soon your personal) demographic information is system maintained.
It enables you to complete your Biosketch and Other Support pages, using data stored in the expert and other support databases, selectively choosing only those items desired as appropriate for different projects.
It automatically generates a University variation of your budget as you fill out the agency-specific budget categories. This speeds the set up of your account when the award comes in.
It can be accessed anywhere you can make an internet connection, so you can work on grants at home, at work or at play.
It flags potential violations of federal regulations.
